OOTD: Sushi & Gatsby Date Night

Happy hump day, all! You’re halfway through the week — congratulations! I started my new summer internship this week, so I thought I’d share with you all my outfit from over the weekend to make up for how busy I’ve been since Monday. Mike and I had a wonderful date night on Saturday at our favorite sushi spot here in St. Louis, and then we ended the evening with the movie I’ve been anticipating for months: The Great Gatsby! Poll: Help me with a DIY project!

Now that summer is here, I thought it would be fun to do a few DIY projects with my free time. I stopped by Michael’s and picked up two 20×20 blank canvases (on sale for $7 each!) and I’m ready to get crafty! I thought it would be fun to paint two fun quotes on each. I immediately went to my “quotes & inspiration” board on Pinterest to pick my two favorites and it was utterly impossible. So…I need YOUR help! I’ve narrowed it down to a few of my favorites and all I ask is that you pick your favorite quote in the poll down below. I’ll keep the poll open for a few days before I finally make a decision and bust out my paint brushes and watercolors.

OOTD: Maxi’s & Mixed Prints

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and Mother’s Day! I’ll do a recap of my weekend later on in the week. Today’s post is all about looking chic in the simplest way possible and mixing prints you wouldn’t normally put together. I had finals last week and the last thing I wanted to do was put much effort into my look. Comfy is the way to go when you’re at school taking finals. My solution — maxi dresses! To make it seem like I put at least a little effort into my look, I added the leopard belt to add some contrast to the bold green stripes. OOTD: Striped Shift & Luichiny Wedges

Look at those wedges! It’s taken me awhile with school and work, but I’m finally blogging about my gorgeous Luichiny wedges I received during Saint Louis Fashion Week! I’ve blogged about the bulk of the goodies I received that weekend, but I was waiting for the perfect spring-like weather to bust these bad boys out.
