Isn’t it crazy how long you look forward to something and then it just flies by in the blink of an eye? I’d been counting down the days to our beach vacation for the last three months and last Friday when the clock struck 5 o’clock, I was the happiest camper in the world. Then you remember packing isn’t fun, 14 hour car rides aren’t fun, and unloading your luggage and week’s worth of beach necessities isn’t fun… Oh, but the beach is all worth it. Every year I try to soak it all in as much as possible and savor each moment, but it always slips away too soon. Now I’m mentally preparing to head back to work, laundry is done and my lunches are all made for the week and I am most definitely back to reality.
Even though I’m no longer on the beach, I can relive the moments (and the outfits) right here with all of you and begin a new countdown to next year’s beach excursion (358 days). My first real look of vacation was on our first full day in Cape San Blas. The family and I drove about 20 miles to Apalachicola for dinner. This is cutest little waterfront town and I thought this effortless floral maxi was perfect for the occasion.
